Happy New Year everyone! A new year and a new attempt to do a weekly blog.
Did you make any resolutions or goals for 2022?
I decided to start off this year with learning a few new skills. I really suck at wire wrapping so I enrolled in Sara Lovecraft's online Facebook group called Hard Wired. It goes a step beyond her weekly free tutorials. I figured if I am paying for something, I will make more of an attempt at watching the videos.
The skill this week was wire wrapping a donut pendant with beads. A donut pendant is usually round with a hole in the middle, resembling a donut. It is often a gemstone but could be made of anything. This project can be done with any shape, as long as there is a hole in the middle.Â
I don't have too many donut pendants in my stash, I never know what to do with them! But I found a pretty agate donut.
This is the finished project. I actually messed it up as I was finishing it off but not bad for the first time! I added a beaded chain of gold seed beads and Swarovski crystals that match what I used for wire wrapping.Â
I do plan to purchase a few donuts pendants to wire wrap and add for sale on my website.
What do you think of this project?
Until next time.........
Helen
